Terms of Service

Last updated: June 26, 2026

The short version

These terms are the agreement between you and One More Road for using the site and app. The trip builder is free to use, with no account needed. A paid Plus plan unlocks bigger trips and extra features; paid plans renew automatically until you cancel, and you can cancel anytime. Routes and travel times are estimates, so use your own judgment and drive safely. We provide the service as-is and our liability is limited.

The full terms are below, in plain English. If anything is unclear, email us at support@onemoreroad.com.

Who we are, and your agreement to these terms

One More Road (onemoreroad.com) is run by Mason M. and Michael C., who operate it together. In these Terms of Service (the "Terms"), "we", "us", and "our" refer to us, and "you" refers to you, the person using the service.

By accessing or using One More Road, you agree to these Terms and to our privacy policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. If you use it on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to bind that organization to these Terms.

Who can use it

One More Road is a general-audience trip planner and is not directed at children. You must be at least 16 years old to use it, and old enough to form a binding contract where you live. If you are under the age of majority in your area, you may use it only with a parent or guardian's involvement. By using the service you confirm you meet these requirements.

Your account

You can use the trip builder without an account. To save trips to our servers and use account features, you sign up with an email and password, or with "Continue with Google". Sign-in is handled by AWS Cognito.

  • Give accurate information when you sign up, and keep it current.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your password safe. Tell us promptly at the support email if you suspect unauthorized access.
  • An account is for one person. Do not share your login or let others use your account.
  • We may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms, or where we are required to by law.

The service, and the free plan

One More Road is a road-trip planner for building multi-stop trips on a single map, with routing, optimization, sharing, and export. The core builder is free and works without an account; while you are signed out, your trips are stored locally in your browser, and they are claimed onto your account the first time you sign in.

The free plan includes generous limits on trips, stops, groups, and sharing, whether or not you create an account. We may change the features included in the free plan over time, but we will not take a feature you rely on away without reasonable notice where we can.

Paid plans, billing, and renewals

The paid Plus plan raises the limits and unlocks extra features (bigger trips, more of them, route optimization, multi-trip share links, colors, more groups, and premium map styles). Current features and prices are shown on the pricing page; prices come live from Stripe and may change over time.

  • Plans and terms. Plus is offered as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. The price, billing interval, and what is included are shown at checkout before you pay.
  • Automatic renewal. Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, using your saved payment method, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us, effective at the end of the current period. The renewal frequency, price, and how to cancel are also shown at checkout before you confirm. By subscribing you authorize these recurring charges.
  • Payments. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card number. Your purchase is also subject to Stripe's terms.
  • Taxes. Prices may not include taxes. Where we are required to collect tax, it is added at checkout, and you are responsible for any taxes shown.
  • Price changes. We may change plan prices. For a recurring subscription, a price change applies to renewals after the change, and we will give you notice before it takes effect so you can cancel if you disagree.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel a subscription at any time from your account or by emailing us. When you cancel, your plan stays active through the end of the period you have already paid for, and it does not renew again. Canceling does not, by itself, delete your account or trips.

  • All fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We do not provide refunds or credits for partial periods, unused time, or features you did not use.
  • Lifetime purchases are one-time and non-refundable once your access is granted, except where the law requires otherwise. "Lifetime" means for as long as we operate One More Road as a service; it is not a guarantee that the service will run forever.
  • Nothing here limits any non-waivable refund or cancellation rights you may have under the consumer law where you live.

Your trips and content

Your trips and the content you add (names, stops, notes, colors, and so on) are yours. We do not claim ownership of them. To run the service, you give us a limited license to host, store, copy, process, and display your content for the purpose of operating One More Road for you, including computing routes through our mapping providers.

  • Share links are public. When you create a share link, anyone who has the link can view the shared trip without signing in. Share only what you are comfortable being seen by anyone with the link, and remember a trip can reveal where you have been or plan to go.
  • You are responsible for your content. You confirm you have the right to add the content you add, and that it does not break the law or these Terms.
  • Exports are yours to keep. You can export your trips as GPX, KML, or GeoJSON files at any time. We are not responsible for what happens to a file once you have downloaded it.
  • We may remove content that violates these Terms or the law. While we store your saved trips as described in our privacy policy, we do not guarantee that any content will be retained, backed up, or recoverable, we are not obligated to monitor or store it, and we are not liable for any loss or deletion of content. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of anything important.

Acceptable use

When you use One More Road, you agree not to:

  • Break the law, or use the service to plan, promote, or carry out anything illegal.
  • Infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights, or upload content you do not have the right to share.
  • Scrape, crawl, or bulk-extract data, or use automated means to access the service beyond normal personal use, except as any published robots rules allow.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or try to extract source code, except where the law expressly permits it.
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute the service or its map and routing data.
  • Exceed or work around plan limits, rate limits, or our mapping providers' usage terms.
  • Interfere with, overload, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data.
  • Upload malware, or use the service to harass, abuse, or harm others.
  • Remove or obscure any proprietary notices, or misrepresent your affiliation with us.

We may investigate and take action, including suspending or terminating access, for conduct we reasonably believe breaks these rules.

Maps, routing, and travel data

Map data, place search, routes, distances, and travel times come from third-party and open data sources and from our own routing engines. They are estimates provided for planning, and they can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Real-world conditions, closures, traffic, and local rules change.

Use your own judgment and drive safely. One More Road is a trip-planning tool, not real-time turn-by-turn navigation and not a safety or emergency service. Do not rely on it for emergencies, and do not interact with the app while driving. Always follow road signs, traffic laws, and conditions on the ground. You are responsible for how you travel.

Third-party services

We rely on third-party providers to run the service, including Amazon Web Services (hosting, auth, and storage), Stripe (payments), Google (sign-in and analytics), mapping and routing providers (Mapbox, MapTiler, and OpenRouteService), open data sources (OpenStreetMap, OpenMapTiles, Overpass), and our own self-hosted routing and search engines. Your use of those features is also subject to the relevant provider's terms, and we are not responsible for third-party services we do not control. Our privacy policy explains what data goes where.

Our intellectual property

The One More Road name, logo, design, software, and content (other than your trips and content, and third-party map data) are ours or our licensors', and are protected by intellectual-property laws. We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for its intended purpose under these Terms. We keep all rights not expressly granted.

Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free right to use them to improve the service, with no obligation to you.

Copyright complaints. If you believe content on One More Road infringes your copyright, email support@onemoreroad.com with enough detail to identify the work and where it appears, and we will review it. We may remove infringing content and may close the accounts of repeat infringers.

Changes to the service

We are a small team and the product is evolving. We may add, change, or remove features, and some features may be offered as previews or betas that can change or end. We may also suspend or discontinue the service. Where a change would materially reduce a paid feature you are paying for, we will give reasonable notice and, where appropriate, a way to cancel.

Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, to the fullest extent the law allows. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that maps, routes, or travel times will be accurate.

Some places do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you, and nothing here limits warranties that cannot be excluded under the law where you live.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, One More Road and its owners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the service, including any reliance on maps, routes, or travel times.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars. These limits apply even if a remedy fails its essential purpose. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you, and nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under the law (such as for our gross negligence, fraud, or willful misconduct).

Indemnification

To the extent the law allows, you agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, losses, and costs (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your content, or your breach of these Terms or of someone else's rights.

Dispute resolution and arbitration

Please read this section carefully. To the extent the law allows, it requires disputes to be resolved by individual arbitration and waives the right to a class action. You can opt out within 30 days.

  • Talk to us first. Most issues can be sorted out quickly. Before starting a formal dispute, email support@onemoreroad.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it.
  • Binding arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, any dispute relating to these Terms or the service will be settled by binding, individual arbitration rather than in court, except as noted below. The arbitration is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
  • Class-action waiver. Disputes are brought only in your individual capacity, not as a plaintiff or member of any class or representative action.
  • Small claims and exceptions. Either of us may still bring an individual claim in small-claims court, and either of us may seek an injunction to protect intellectual-property or unauthorized-access claims.
  • 30-day opt-out. You can opt out of arbitration by emailing support@onemoreroad.com with the subject "Arbitration opt-out" within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out does not affect the rest of the Terms.
  • If the class waiver fails. If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable as to a claim, that claim is severed and proceeds in court, but the rest of this arbitration agreement still applies.

This section applies only to the extent permitted by the law where you live. If you are a consumer in a place where arbitration clauses or class waivers are not enforceable, they do not apply to you, and disputes are handled by the courts that the law there provides.

Termination

You can stop using One More Road at any time, cancel a subscription from your account, and ask us to delete your account (see our privacy policy for how deletion works today). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service. If we terminate a monthly or yearly subscription without cause, we will refund the prepaid, unused portion of that subscription; lifetime purchases are handled as described under "Cancellation and refunds". Sections that by their nature should survive (such as the content license to operate, fees and no-refund terms, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, governing law, and dispute resolution) survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Subject to the arbitration section above, the state and federal courts located in Texas have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute that is not arbitrated. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as the product and the law change. When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use One More Road after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not agree, stop using the service and, if you have a paid plan, cancel it.

Other terms

  • These Terms and our privacy policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the service, and replace any earlier agreements about it.
  • If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • Our not enforcing a term right away is not a waiver of it.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours to a successor (for example, in connection with a sale of the service).
  • Section headings are for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
